Common recruitment method

As soon as you have Lute in your party, you can head to Yorkland. From the 4-way fork, head to the right. In this section of town, talk to the big red Ogre (Thunder), and Lute will ask you if you want to invite Thunder to join.

Special recruitment methods

There is no special way to recruit Thunder.

Character Analysis

By J Bugaboo: The power level of Thunder’s alternate form (TrisaurJr, which can be morphed into as long as you have BoltBreath) is absurd for as early as any character can recruit him. While your humans and mystics are busy leveling up and your mecs are collecting parts, Thunder will be pounding low-rank enemies. However, don’t be lulled into a false sense of security, as the TrisaurJr falls a bit short for end-game material. Thunder has a low starting prime HP as well, meaning lots of dangerous possibilities when it comes to morphing. I would rate Thunder #4 overall among the eight recruit-able monsters.

You might notice how good a skill GroundHit is once you start using it. Thunder's natural progression is to learn Thunderbolt, which, when combined with GroundHit, changes him from Ogre to OgreLord. The rest of the skills are throwaways unless you’ve got a specific plan. Be careful when you ditch the other skills, though; make sure you have one or two forms ready that Thunder can morph into before losing the skills necessary for TrisaurJr. As always, get MagicHeal or LifeRain.
