Recruitable characters in Emelia's scenario

Humans

Annie: Just after your training mission, you can find Annie outside of the restaurant. Talk to her, and you'll be able to invite her to join your party.

Fei-On: During the Rune Magic quest - specifically, when searching for the Vitality Rune - enter Tanzer. After entering, Fei-On will guide you back to the settlement within Tanzer. When you talk to him, agree to help him protect the villagers from Nomad, and he will join your quest.

Fuse: During the Arcane Magic quest - specifically, in search of the Shield Card - go to the IRPO and ask about the Shield Card. Fuse will agree to give you the Shield Card if you help him pick a flower that grows on top of a mountain in Mosperiburg. He will join you temporarily for this quest - You don't get game over if you lose to the boss, and he will leave your party if you do; however, upon completing the quest, he will join your party permanently.

Gen: During the Arcane Magic quest - specifically, in search of the Saber Card - head to Koorong, and talk to a skeleton that you find in one of the shopping areas. He will talk about a man who could cut a rope with a steel pipe, and will tell you that, based on this incident, he must be from Wakatu. THe skeleton also tells you that he's in Scrap.

So, go to Scrap, and enter the Pub. Gen will be sitting in the lower left corner. Talk to him, and he will join you.

Liza: After the training mission, find Liza in the restaurant. Talk to her, and you'll have the option to invite her into your party.

Lute: Go to Scrap and enter the Pub. Lute will be sitting in the lower right corner. Talk to him and you'll have a prompt to allow it to join; say 'yes' to recruit Lute.

Mei-Ling: Go to Scrap, and enter the Pub. Mei-Ling will be sitting on the north end. Talk to her, and you can invite her to join you.

Roufas: During the Rune Magic quest - specifically, in search of the Victory Rune - enter Mu's Tomb in Shrike. If you head to the left, you will find a man with long brown hair (Roufas). Talk to him, and he'll ask you a question; say 'Yes' and he will join you.

Roufas will join you on a few missions, whether you've recruited him permanently or not.

Rouge: Go to Luminous; Rouge will be in the port (it might be hard to see him, because he blends in with the background). If you talk to him, you'll be prompted to invite him in your group. Rouge will leave your party if you try to enter the Magic Kingdom; however, you can return to Luminous afterwards and recruit him again.

Half-Mystics

Asellus: During your first visit to Trinity Base, you will see Asellus and White Rose as you leave Yaruto's harem. Talk to them, and a short battle will ensue. After the fight, Asellus (and White Rose) will join you.

Mystics

Mesarthim: (Note: If you want to recruit Mesarthim and Silence, make sure you do not recruit Silence until you have other Mystics in your party.)

After recruiting Asellus and co, head for the Lord Manor in Owmi. Enter the basement, and fight the DevilSquid miniboss. After defeating it, you can access a door to the left. In this room will be a small body of water; approach it, and you will be prompted to either recruit Mesarthim, or receive an item from her.

Silence: Go to Luminous and start the Shadow Magic quest; you should be taken to Omble. In the first screen, you should be able to find the Shadow of Silence. Talk to his shadow and ask him to help. When you finally get out of Omble, you should be able to find Silence in the room where you buy Shadow Magic, in the upper right corner; talk to him and he will join you.

TimeLord: After completing the Time Magic quest, you will be able to reach TimeLord. When you talk to him, you will receive a prompt to invite him into your party.

White Rose: During your first visit to Trinity Base, you will see White Rose and Asellus as you leave Yaruto's harem. Talk to them, and a short battle will ensue. After the fight, White Rose (and Asellus) will join you.

Zozma: During your first visit to Trinity Base, you will see Asellus and White Rose as you leave Yaruto's harem. Talk to them, and a short battle will ensue. After the fight, Asellus (and White Rose) will join you.

During the conversation you had with them, they will tell you about their friend, Zozma, who is probably somewhere in the base. Search the base, and eventually, you will find a room with a Trinity soldier who cries out for help. Once you approach him, you'll find out that it's actually Zozma, and he will join your group.

If you did not recruit Asellus and White Rose, you will not be able to recruit Zozma.

Monsters

Cotton: Go to Shrike, and enter the Bio Research Lab. Head to the second floor and enter the library room. There is a hidden switch on the bookcase across from the room's entrance; press the switch and head further inside the lab until you reach a flight of stairs. Head up the stairs and you will find a room where some scientists are experimenting on a monster (Cotton). Fight the scientists, and Cotton will join you automatically afterwards.

Kylin: After completing the Space Magic quest, you will be able to ask Kylin to join your party.

Riki: Go to Scrap and enter the Pub. Riki will be sitting in the north end. Talk to him and you'll have a prompt to allow it to join; say 'yes' to recruit Riki.

Sei: King Sei can be found in Shrike, in Sei's Tomb. You will need to make your way through the tomb, and find and fight King Sei. Upon defeating him, you can ask him to join you. See the Side Quests section for detailed information on how to traverse through Sei's Tomb, complete with a thorough list of preparations and strategy for fighting him.

Slime: During the Rune Magic quest - specifically, when searching for the Vitality Rune - enter Tanzer. Upon completing the Vitality Rune quest, the Slime will join you automatically.

Suzaku: During the Arcane Magic quest - specifically, in search of the Shield Card - go to the IRPO and ask about the Shield Card. Fuse will agree to give you the Shield Card if you help him pick a flower that grows on top of a mountain in Mosperiburg.

On the mountain, if you fight the optional boss Jotnar, you can recruit Suzaku. See the Side Quests section for more info on how to find and defeat Jotnar, as well as how to locate Suzaku.

Thunder: As soon as you have Lute in your party, you can head to Yorkland. From the 4-way fork, head to the right. In this section of town, talk to the big red Ogre (Thunder), and Lute will ask you if you want to invite Thunder to join.

Mecs

Emelia is unable to recruit any Mecs.

Character Analysis

By Skankin' Garbage: My personal favorite character, and one of the best human characters in the game. What makes Emelia good is that she's not really BAD at anything; the game intends for you to use Guns with her, so she gains INT points fast enough - in other words, Guns and Magic are no problem for her to use. As if that wasn't enough, she gains STR at a good rate when you use her with Swords or Martial Arts. Her WIL is always really high, and she gains VIT like crazy. About the only thing she doesn't get a whole lot of is PSY, but who cares about that, right? :P

So, in summation, Emelia is really good at everything. The game tries to get you to use Guns with her, and if you recruit her anywhere besides her own scenario, she'll do pretty damn well with it. However, she gains HP a little slow, which I think is worsened slightly by using Guns/Magic. So basically: In her own Scenario, use Swords/Martial Arts. In any other scenario, use whatever you like. Personally, I think she's even better with Swords/Martial Arts than Guns, so I usually use Swords. However, if you're killing for a Martial Artist, and you can't recruit Liza/don't want to recruit Fei-On, Emelia is an excellent choice. In fact, Emelia is just an all-around excellent choice for any party you make.
