< Order of Ecclesia

Repeatedly killing enemies for their drops (called farming or harvesting throughout the wiki) can be one of the most aggravating experiences in the game, especially if you aren't doing it efficiently. The frequency of the drops depends on Shanoa's LCK and your equipment. When you get all drops of an enemy, a sign will appear next to its name in the Enemy Guide. Generally, postponing farming until the later stages of the game will make it easier.

Equip glyphs that deal the most damage to the foes you are hunting, if you are confident you won't get hit wear a Death Ring with a Heart Cuirass for extra damage, wear the Winged/Mercury Boots and use Rapidus Fio/Sapiens Fio or Felicem Fio depending on what you need more.

See the Treasure Hat's properties to see if you should wear it. Equip LCK-raising paraphernalia (Robe Decollete, Fortune Ring, Thief Rings, Fool Rings, Ribbon if Treasure Hat doesn't apply), see the relevant section on this page and go grind. Use the Records if the music starts getting on your nerves or turn off the volume.

If you are having trouble beating a particular enemy, there is some advice on the trickier enemies here, but check the earliest “Location” in the Walkthrough for more help.

On rarity: If you methodically farm enemies in the spots outlined below, you should get drops up to and including three stars relatively easily (i.e. without getting too bored). Four stars should take plenty of time (enough for the music to start getting at your nerves) and you shouldn't attempt five stars unless you really want the drop, have a good spot and plenty of time. Raising you LCK with items lowers the number of stars. All the stars on this page are for a LCK of 21.

Whenever a drop is described as a (glyph), you have to kill the enemy enough times so that they leave the glyph behind. If the glyph flashes for a second and disappears, this is not considered a drop nor is it a matter of being fast enough to catch it before it disappears. Keep trying until a glyph stays on screen. Whenever a glyph is described as (glyph, drawn), you have to draw the glyph when the enemy tried to cast it against you (or to enter the wall in the case of Wallman).

Harvesting: Not sure why you'd want Rotten Meat, but as they won't stop coming at you and they're pushovers, just keep on killing them in one of their rooms.

Harvesting: Enter Kalidus from the left and go right (don't dive) till you start meeting Mermen. You can temporarily turn off the Serpent Scale relic if it helps, just turn it on again to dive for the rewards. If you've finished Kalidus, enter from the left, go right two rooms and use the hole you created. Fall to the bottom, go twice right and go to the upper left exit to find a room with a chest and Mermen. Farm there. You can also get Zircon from the simple chests in Tristis Pass or Argila Swamp or from enemy no. 48, Merman (sic).

Uses black magic to animate and control corpses.

Note: If you stay far from him, he'll throw his spear at you (jump or duck, depending on your distance) and he can skewer you if you are over or under him in the long corridor rooms. Has a standard swipe too.

Harvesting: There are so many of them you may get the drops without trying to. Double Arcus is the earliest glyph that can kill them easily.


No.015: Invisible Man
A magician who gave up his soul to gain invisibility.

Note: Arcus can make him a pin cushion before he reaches you. There is always a slight distortion in the place where he's standing.

A rare, water-dwelling creature.

A hard-shelled sea urchin. A questionable delicacy.

A violent fish, with a spirit as fossilized as its body.

Harvesting: Following the instructions for enemy no.11, Merman, you'll pass a huge pillar of Fishheads. Stand to the right of them where they can't hurt you and hit them with long-ranged glyphs like Luminatio or more advanced ones if you've got them.


No.020: Dark Octopus
An octopus creature, tormented by black magic.
Location: Kalidus channel

Harvesting: In Kalidus Chanel, go forward from the bottom left entrance. There are three of them in the room before the large cove with the sunken ship. Use ranged glyphs.


No.021: Killer Fish
A ferocious fish. Fetches a high prices among epicures.
Location: Kalidus Channel

Harvesting: I strongly advise you to have the Rapidus Fio glyph for this one. Having followed the instructions for the above enemy, the next room to the right is the cove with the ship. Go right and sink when you can. You can obliterate a fish to your right, that's swimming into you, with Nitesco, kill another fish to the left, return and repeat. Hunting the other fish takes too much time.


No.022: Forneus
A demonic sea creature from the oceans of the underworld.
Location: Kalidus Channel

Harvesting: You can get Salt from enemy no. 19, Fishhead. If you insist, go to a room down in Kalidus Channel that has two of them.

Harvesting: Go past the sunken ship in Kalidus Channel to the room where you saved the villager. Exiting it back to the ship, a spider will come to you. Macir it (or soften if up first), exit and repeat. In Tymeo Mountains, enter from the upper left, go past the 3x2 room and return to it. Four spiders will come to you.


No.026: Scarecrow
Quite a threat, if he only had a brain.

This demon is master of the consuming flames.

Curses the living with its deadly song.

An animated puppet made by a demon scientists. Model No.26.

A skeletal brute armed with a huge club.
Location: Giant's Dwelling

Harvesting: Either in the first room or, even better, in the second building where he guards a corridor. Don't attempt this until you can kill him without getting hurt.

A flying monster with a horse's head and a bat's body.

A knight who sends a trained owl to attack his enemies.

Note: If you kill the Owl, he'll fall over it to mourn for a few seconds and vice versa. His Owl seems to be tougher than the normal ones (and they don't give you EXP). You can also summon your own owl against him.

Harvesting: Enter left and cross the first long room. As soon as you leave it go back and kill the two Knights close to you, exit, return etc. You can also get Silver Ore from sparkling green chests in Tymeo Mountains, Misty Forest Road and simple chests in Somnus Reef, Tristis Pass, Argila Swamp and Dracula's Castle.

A victim of the parasitic une that leaves une in his steps.

There are many places in the Library where you can stand above them and use long ranged (even autoaiming) glyphs. You can also get Silver Ore from sparkling green chests in Tymeo Mountains, Misty Forest Road and simple chests in Somnus Reef, Tristis Pass, Argila Swamp and Dracula's Castle.

The Gorgon Heads spawn less often than Medusa Heads and not always at your height, not to mention that the Miror Cuirass is a quite rare drop. Only for completionists.
