Final Fantasy Tactics Advance/Special Classes< Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
As in the original FFT, special characters in Tactics Advance may have special classes. In most cases, these are just regular classes with different names and descriptions, but some have unique sprites and skill sets. Note that, unlike in FFT, these characters can not change class or acquire new abilities.
|Mace, Hat, Clothing, Robe, Shield|
|Babus first appears in the mission "Emerald Keep" and appears to engage the party in several subsequent missions. He will offer to join after completing the post-game mission "With Babus." Babus has high strength and some decent spells.|
|Explode||Deals massive area damage|
|Quarter||Reduces target's life by 25%|
|Demi||Reduces target's life by 50%|
|Counter||Counters any attack within range|
|Mace, Hat, Clothing|
|Ezel first appears as a neutral character in the mission "Antilaws." To entice him to join, check into his shop and select "Gossip." At select parts of the game, he will offer missions. After the mission "Reconciliation," he joins. Ezel has excellent stats, so it's a shame you can't change his class. His abilities are very limited, but he can be useful anyway.|
|Azoth||Adds "Sleep" to all enemies|
|Astra||Protects the target(s) from the next status condition|
|Block Arrows||Avoids arrows and archery-based action abilities|
|Weapon Atk+||Increases weapon damage|
|Knightsword, Greatsword, Helmet, Armor, Shield|
|Judgemaster Cid first appears in the post-game mission "Cleanup Time," which becomes available after completing 300 regular missions. He joins after the battle. Cid has some very interesting abilities, most of them centered around manipulating the rules of the game.|
|Abate||Paralyzes the judge, temporarily allowing violations of the law|
|Judge Sword||Deals damage and steals JP|
|Bind||Adds "Disable," "Immobilize"|
|JP Gift||Gives 1 JP to the target|
|Yellow Clip||Nullifies a yellow card which was played this battle|
Llednar first appears in the mission "Quiet Sands." He has two ability sets: a group of sword attacks called "Flair" and a group of area effect attacks called "Dark Magic." During the first two battles, Llednar is under special protection which renders immune to damage and instakills. He can finally be defeated in the mission "Royal Valley."
Battle Queen (Remedi)
Remedi appears at the end of the regular game, making a second appearance in the mission "With Babus." She has very high stats, but no ability sets or equipment.
Judges appear in some of the "Corrupt Judge" missions available after completing the 300 regular missions. They have the "Judgment" ability set, which includes the ability to force a legal violation on a character.
Officials appear in some of the "Corrupt Judge" missions available after completing the 300 regular missions. They have the same sprites and abilities as the regular classes, save the "Blank Card" secondary ability which allows them to change the laws at will.
